"We had lunch here twice and both times the food was great, sauces rich with flavor. The tortillas were my favorite in Oaxaca. And of course a good value for price"

"Great local clientele and many different items on the menu. We did fine with our broken Spanish. The mercado has reasonable prices as well."

"This stop is recommended by our local tour guide. Although I don't try the chilaquiles which is the exact item recommended by her, the pozole on Sunday menu is also good with rich flavors."

"Tasty food at this restaurant inside Mercado de La Merced. Traditional Oaxacan breakfast and lunch with weekend specials and chilaquiles 2x1 on Mondays. Expect enfrijoladas, entomatadas, emoladas, mole, caldos, tamales, juice, smoothies, and coffee. It’s a great place to have breakfast when you go shopping at the market."

"The food is cheap and tasty. Here we also finally found some vegetarian tamales! The hot chocolate was delicious. They're also open early (we were there around 8am)."

"Wow, we wanted to go to an indoor marketplace and de la Merced was close to our place. We wandered around and found a food court with 8 or 9 stalls with tables. Fonda Rosita looked interesting and we sat and watched some folks eating a soup that looked really good. The waiter was sooo nice and pointed out that they were eating chilaquiles. So we ordered coffee (so so) and two bowls. One was red sauce (Rojo) with eggs and I had the green sauce (verde) with chicken. They brought really fresh bread to the table and then the chilaquiles which was HOT bubbling in the sauce. The rest is history as this was simply incredibly delicious and tasty. They were spicy but not overly and my verde had a great but light sour tang to it. This is not to be missed!!! Each dish was 80 pesos and later we found that on Mondays it’s two for the price of one!!"

"This place is okay. The food wasn't as fresh as I expected it to be inside a food market. The service was okay too, nothing to write about. This is in the middle of the food hall so the environment is pretty lively."

"Loved our breakfast here an absolute must to check out the market for breakfast if staying in Oaxaca. At Rositas we had the chilaquiles divorciado, mole tamales and chocolate water drink which were so delicious and reasonable"
